というものがありました。oùは関係代名詞で、le pays européenが先行詞になり、on以下は、 on consommait le plus de parfums,...etc. dans le pays européen. になると思うのですが、ではonの前に書かれているl'は何のためにあるのでしょうか。
最初は、oùとonのつながりが母音どうしなのでわざと子音としてlを入れているのかと思ったのですが、où on とつなげている文章も沢山あり、混乱しています。
